Pinball by Darko Vidačković and In the the Beginning of Time... by Božidar Trkulja have been selected in competition at the 19th Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival taking place in Bristol from 17-22 September 2013.

Encounters is the UK's leading showcase for emerging talents, attracting a public audience of over 11 000 people. This year the festival received more than 2300 entries with just 200 chosen for Animated Encounters and Brief Encounters competition programmes. These films will compete for internationally renowned prizes and have a chance to qualify for some major nominations including Oscar, BAFTA, European Film Award and Cartoon d'Or.

This year’s highlights out of competition include a focus on contemporary Swiss cinema, a retrospective of master animator Richard Williams (Return of the Pink Panther, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?), a brand new music video showcase as well as exhibitions, panels, discussions and workshops.
