The film received Special Mention at the International Animation Film Festival Anim'est that was held in Bucharest from 8 until 17 of October 2010. The jury was composed by Phil Mulloy, Regina Pessoa, Simone Massi, Erik van Shaaik and of Mihai Chirilov.
This week the film also received the Best Short Film Award from a jury composed of young film students at the 28th International Film Festival Cine-Jeune de l'Aisne in Saint-Quentin. The festival takes place from 15 until 22 of October 2010.
Je criais contre la vie. Ou pour elle (I was crying out at life. Or for it) was inspired by a 19th century engraving and depicts an unusual chase: in an open forest, a deers' herd turns round on the hound who was chasing them so far. The film has been screened at 60 international film festivals so far and received several awards, such as the award for the best original music in Clermont Ferrand and Grand Prix at the Holland Animation Film Festival. Vergine Keaton is going to be a jury member at HAFF this year and will present a special programme with some of her favourite animated films.
