Travelling Country, a film by Vessela Dantcheva and Ivan Bogdanov, won the Best Music for Animated Film Award at the Be!There Festival in Greece. And here is why: "The film uses innovatively the traditional medium of Balkan vocals as an ironic counterpoint to a cruel story, creating a unique atmosphere and advancing the plot in an unexpected way."
Travelling Country is a Bulgarian-Croatian co-production that followed after a successful collaboration between the two studios on the film Father. It is a fantastic fairytale about the history repeating itself or, to be more precise, about the fact that our societies don’t learn much from their mistakes. In these turbulent times, we should take the film’s message very seriously. Travelling Country was featured at about thirty international festivals and it won nine awards: at Animafest Zagreb, Varna, Sofia Int’l Film Festival, Animated Dreams and others.
