The Fifth International Festival of Animated Film Banjaluka gathered from 23rd to 28th of October pretty impressive amount of nice films and major animated faces. For example, one of the Festival jury there was Mister Georges Schwizgebel, and as a Special Festival Guest - Estonian master of animation Priit Parn. We have to admit - we were less interested in the jury, and more in the audience, which this year gave its voice to the film Father by Ivan Bogdanov and the group of authors. Thank you, audience!
The Festival was closed on the World Day of Animated Film, established by ASIFA, on the 28th October. It was on that date, in 1892, when the first public performance of Emile Reynaud’s Theatre Optique happened at the Grevin Museum in Paris.
