Portuguese festival Cinanima is well-known among animation buffs. The festival takes place in a town of Espinho, between Lisbon and Porto, and it presents international short and feature competitions and national programs.
Theodor Ushev’s Sonámbulo received the Alves Costa Award for the Best Film up to 5 minutes in the international competition. The film has won several awards so far: at Animafest, Fest Anča, Animator and Ottawa. In the past eight months it was presented at about sixty festivals – from Annecy, TIFF, DOK Leipzig to Curtas Vila do Conde, Uppsala, Edinburgh etc.
