The experimental-documentary Places We’ll Breathe will appear in the Short & Mid-length programme at IFFR, running from 26th January to 6th February 2022. The Short & Mid-length film programme offers a ‘unique insight’ into films up to 63 minutes in length and includes 60 films. Due to the pandemic, the Rotterdam festival will take place online.
Since February 2020, Vanja Kaluđerčić has been IFF Rotterdam’s new festival director.
The same festival, one of the most renowned in the world, especially when it comes to experimental films and innovative cinematic forms, screened Davor Sanvincenti’s previous title, Almost Nothing: So Continues the Night.
Places We’ll Breathe is a visual essay that advocates imagination through a travelogue of constructed and anonymous landscapes, a note about the future of sorts. It speaks about loss, exploration, presence, vigilance, responsibility, awaiting and freedom.
The film is a Petikat production.
