Animateka, one of the most important regional festivals of animated films, starts today and takes place for the 11th time in the Slovenian capital city. The festival is directed and programmed by Igor Prassel, who again this year chose fifty film programs with many works from the region but also international films.

This year Bonobostudio participates with three animated films in the competition program: Hunger by Petra Zlonoga, Simulacra by Ivana Bošnjak and Thomas Johnson and new film in distribution – Levitation by Marko Meštrović. In the Eastern and Central European Panorama we will see music video by Jelena Oroz Always or Never?, and in the special Omnibus in Animated Film Retrospective – a film by Ivan Bogdanov and five other directors, Father. Studio director Vanja Andrijević will present Bonobostudio at the Open Platform, and American author Alexander Stewart will present his new film in production with Bonobostudio, Here, There.

Many authors announced their visit to Animateka, where they will also participate at many debates, presentations and q&a. We are of course looking forward to watch animated films from Monday to Sunday. Hope to see you in Ljubljana!
