Éva Darabos (1991, Budapest) fell in love with drawing and filmmaking in her late teens. She completed the Animation BA and MA programs of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest, as well as the MA program in Design and Visual Arts Education. During her studies, she spent an Erasmus semester at TUAS's Animation Department in Turku, Finland. Her graduation film Bye Little Block! (2020) won multiple prizes, including Best Design at OIAF and was screened at festivals including PÖFF Shorts, Animafest Zagreb and Sarajevo Film Festival. She attended the Animation Sans Frontières program in 2021. Funfair is her first professional film; it won the Ciclic Prize at the CEE Animation Forum 2022.
