Chaerin Im’s I Am a Horse and Igor Grubić’s Ingresso Animali Vivi to screen at the 52nd International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR).

Both films will appear in the Short & Mid-length section at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, one of the biggest and most important film festivals, running 25th January – 5th February 2023.

The experimental-documentary Ingresso Animali Vivi directed by Igor Grubić will have its world premiere at IFFR. The film, which is a Kreativni sindikat production, is a moving and subtle examination of the food industry and humanity’s relationship to animals.

Animated film I Am a Horse directed by Korean author Chaerin Im will have its international premiere at Rotterdam. It previously screened at the Bucheon International Animation Festival, receiving a Special Distinction Prize. I Am a Horse is Chaerin Im’s first professional film, created in Korea and Denmark as an independent production. The film problematises imposed gender roles in patriarchal society employing an interesting combination of different animation techniques.
