Alexander Stewart’s Here There and Sonámbulo by Theodore Ushev will be screened in the competition at the oldest North American film festival and one of the oldest in the world – the 54th Ann Arbor Film Festival. The festival receives 3 thousand applications each year. Selected films compete for many awards at this Academy-award qualifying festival.
Stewart’s Here There had a great festival start: after great OIAF and DOK Leipzig, it was screened at Slamdance and in Rotterdam (IFFR), and in the next three weeks it will be presented, among others, at Onion City, GLAS Animation and, of course, Ann Arbor. It’s just a short summery of the first five months of our fantastic film.
Theodore Ushev’s Sonámbulo is available on demand so, if you are not in Ann Arbor, you can still see it. We will just quickly go through some of the biggest achievements: 80 festival screenings, 9 awards, screening at Arte France and Canal+ Spain with nominations for the Canadian Screen Awards and Prix Jutra, two great awards for Canadian films.
