Three Awards in Belgrade

Amnesiac 19
Amnesiac on the Beach won the award for Best Experimental Film and Best Sound Design at the 62nd Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival, while the award for Best Animated Film went to Levitation.

The 62nd edition of the Festival offered a careful selection of films divided into two categories: Local and Regional – also known as Vidici. Both selections feature competitions in all film genres: documentary, fiction, experimental and animated. Two of the six experimental films included in the Regional Selection come from Bonobostudio: A.D.A.M. (Vladislav Knežević) and Amnesiac on the Beach (Dalibor Barić). Amnesiac won the award for Best Film in the category, as well as one of the special awards – Tomislav Babić was awarded Best Sound Design.

Only two films were screened as part of the Regional Selection in the category of Animated Film: Hunger by Petra Zlonoga (produced by Bonobostudio) and Levitation by Marko Meštrović (produced by Kreativni sindikat and distributed by Bonobostudio). Levitation won the award for Best Animated Film.

Reminder: Levitation will be screened at the end of April in the official competition of the 61st Oberhausen Short Film Festival – one of the oldest short film festivals in the world and only a year younger than the Belgrade Film Festival. Archeo 29, directed by Vladislav Knežević, will be screened as part of the Festival’s Theme programme “The Third Image” showing 3D films.

Archeo 29 is available for streaming on Indieflix.
