Special Mention for Sonámbulo in a fierce competition at the Slovakian Fest Anča!

Fest Anča (Žilina) ended on Sunday, June 28th. The main Anča Award went to Animafest and Annecy Grand Prix winner We Can't Live Without Cosmos by Konstantin Bronzit, and every jury member handed out their own special mentions. We are very happy that Oscar nominee Tomm Moore, Irish director of the famous features The Secret of Kells (2009) and Song of the Sea (2014) and a segment of the film Prophet (2015), gave his Special Mention to Sonámbulo by Theodore Ushev.

This is a second award for the short film that combines Garcia Lorca’s poetry and motifs of the surrealist paintings. The first award came also from the director – an Oscar winner Chris Landerth (Ryan) at Animafest Zagreb.

Here are all the awarded at Fest Anča.
