The most summery festival of animated film, Supertoon or “the festival in flip flops”, just closed another edition. From the good and easy festival atmosphere, we are happy to announce that the Special Mention for short animated film went to Marko Meštrović.

His film Levitation – produced by Kreativni sindikat – was selected at 16 festivals so far, to name a few like Oberhausen or Animafest, and it won three awards at the Revue of Croatian Short Films and one at the 62nd Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival.

Levitation is more of a feeling than a story about the contemporary society, referencing in its own way a famous novel The Old Man and the Sea. Its special atmosphere also comes from a fantastic and etheric soundtrack by Natko Stipaničev. You can watch the trailer here.
