The film was produced by 9311-8990 Quebec Inc. / Les Productions Unité centrale, and is distributed by Bonobostudio.

Sonámbulo will premiere at the 18th edition of the Holland Animation Film Festival in Utrecht (18 – 22 March), in the international non-narrative competition programme, accompanied with another recent film by Theodore Ushev – Manifeste de Sang (Blood Manifesto), produced by NFB.
