Last year we were happy cause the Etiuda & Anima Silver Jabberwocky Prize went to our film Nighthawk (Špela Čadež), and this year we are delighted cause it seems we are talking about a great new tradition! Eva Cvijanović’s Hedgehog’s Home will archive this fantastic prize from Krakow on her award shelve. The crazy name of the award comes from a “crazy” poem by Lewis Caroll from Through the Looking-Glass.
Festival jury in the ANIMA Competition – who had to chose between 69 films from 1400 applied – is more than a fantastic group of artists: Piotr Dumała (Chairman), Theodore Ushev, Lucija Mrzljak, Gunnar Strøm and Andrea Martignoni. The main prize or Golden Jabberwocky went to Oh, Mother by Paulina Ziółkowska, and Bronze Award to Dennis Tupicoff’s Photo of Me. Jury has stated that Eva’s film is “technically perfect and brave interpretation of a timeless story”.
