The first screening of experimental film A.D.A.M. made in 3D stereoscopy will take place on Friday, May 30th at 8 PM at the Cineplexx Centar Kaptol, Cinema 1.
A.D.A.M is short for the Autonomous Drone for Asteroid Mining. In the film the drone slowly gains consciousness, starts to work autonomously and refuses any communication with the satellite company operators who are trying to regain control. The film is a hybrid of genres: deceptively starting out as a documentary, combining areal photography (Igor Zirojević) with sound (Gideon Kiers) and dialogues (Vladislav Knežević, Hrvoje Pukšec), the film gradually turns into science fiction, while carefully bypassing the classic pop-dramatic codes of the genre. The film director notes that A.D.A.M. is a film about ‘the attempt to establish control in a state of overload – personified by the unstable and saturated space of contemporary hyperurbanism’.
Animation, stereography and compositing was made by Mario Kalogjera, and production by Vanja Andrijević from Bonobostudio. This 12 minute and 45 second film will be screened for the first time this Friday at Cineplexx Centar Kaptol, followed by the short Q&A with the director.
