Nightingales in December by Theodore Ushev won the Best Canadian Animation Award at the Ottawa Festival!

Shot animated film Nightingales in December (Rossignols en décembre) by a Bulgarian-Canadian animator Theodore Ushev just won The Canadian Film Institute Award for Best Canadian Animation at The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF), the largest event of its kind in North America.

The Nightingales have been distributed by Bonobostudio and visited some of the major world festivals: Animafest, Annecy, Stuttgart, Hiroshima, all the way to the north, to Tampere and Ottawa, where they seem to be jury’s darling. It keeps traveling on, and we hope the good mode from the north will travel to the south with us.
