Nighthawk awarded in Berkeley!

Nighthawk 07
Špela Čadež’s film won the Best Narrative Short Award at GLAS Animation Festival (March 2–5).

Nighthawk is a film about a drunk badger who embarks on an adventure after a police patrol finds him passed out on the road. GLAS Animation Festival jury described it as: “A blistering, squirming tragedy trailing an alcoholic whizzing blurrily through bending roads in the black of night."

Nighthawk is a Slovenian (FINTA Film, RTV Slovenija) and Croatian co-production (Bonobostudio). It comes after a world-known film Boles by Špela Čadež. The film premiered in September 2016, and won six awards since, among others at DOK Leipzig and Animateka.

Špela’s new film was featured at many film festivals, with more competition programs coming up in the following few months – altogether thirty five so far! Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand, OIAF, to name a few, and HAFF, Stuttgart and Animafest to be announced until summer.
