Animated Film Festival Imaginaria (August 22 – 26) has been taking place for 15 years in the beautiful historical city Conversano in Italy. The Festival usually features strong international competition and interesting guests. This year’s "power jury" featured Regina Pessoa, Giannalberto Bendazzi and Andrea Martignoni, and we are proud that they have granted one of the main festival awards – Best Animated Short Film – to Špela Čadež’s Nighthawk, a Finta Film and Bonobostudio co-production.
Špela’s film about a drunken badger competed at more than 80 film festivals since September 2016 and won 16 awards. Some of them are Special Mention at DOK Leipzig, Special Mention and the Audience Award at Animateka, Best Narrative Film Award at both GLAS Animation Festival and Holland Animation Film Festival, Special Mention at Prix Ars Electronica and Grand Prix at Animafest Zagreb.
