Miloš Tomić is nominated for a prestigious European award for direction of his short animation film Musical Traumas.

Emile Awards are a rather new prize, celebrating this year its second edition, but the ambition of ‘European Oscars’ is grand – to be the continental version of the prestigious Annie Awards organized by the Hollywood ASIFA in LA. The Emile Awards were thus founded in 2017 by the European Association of Animation Film, which granted the name of the awards from two famous ‘Emiles ‘— Cohl and Reynaud. Voting for the best films and many different aspects of animation craft is opened for all members of the Association.

The 2018 edition will take place in Lille, France, on December 7 and 8, and you can check all the Emile nominees online. We congratulate Miloš Tomić, whose film Musical Traumas is nominated for best direction in a short animated film alongside with works such as Bloeistraat 11 (dir. Nienke Deutz), Egg (dir. Martina Scarpelli), Fest (dir. Nikita Diakur) and This Magnificent Cake! (dir. Emma De Swaef, Marc James Roels).
