Miloš Tomić’s film just won its fifth and sixth award! At Belgrade’s Balkanima (2 – 6 October) it won the Best Serbian Film Award, and a Special Mention at 8th Stoptrik in Maribor (4 – 7 October). Other awards include Grand Prix at Supertoon in Šibenik and mentions at Fest Anča, Kinemastik and Animanima.
Musical Traumas are a result – as the author says – of his obsession with music schools. This animated documentary which visualizes different traumatic but also slightly funny experiences of various students will be presented at the end of the month at DOK Leipzig, where it will compete in the competition program. From 29 October to 4 November, DOK Leipzig International Festival for Documentary and Animated Film – one of the oldest European festivals – will present 306 films from 50 countries. It is a great success to be featured in the Main International Competition for Short Film since only 20 films will get the chance to compete at DOK Leipzig. During the grand festival in Germany, Musical Traumas will be on display in Amsterdam (KLIK) and after that in London (LIAF), but more about that later.
