The film Imbued Life, by directing duo Ivana Bošnjak and Thomas Johnson, will screen in competition of the 42nd edition of the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, held 31st Jan – 8th Feb of this year.

Imbued Life is one of the 80 films to screen in international competition, chosen among the 7000 applications the festival receives annually. The Clermont-Ferrand Festival offers an overview of animated, documentary, fiction and student films from around the world. Last year, we were also represented at the festival – with Veljko Popović’s film Cyclists.

The film about a young woman who, using her talent for taxidermy, “imbues with life” dead animals in order to return them to their natural habitat, had its world premiere at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen in May of 2019. The film went on to have a successful festival run, being included in competition programs of around 60 festivals, including Animafest and festivals in Annecy and Leeds. Directing duo Thomas Johnson and Ivana Bošnjak also wrote the screenplay, designed and animated the film and created the puppets.
