Hiroshima International Animation Festival is a biennial manifestation which is, together with festivals in Annecy, Ottawa and Zagreb, considered as one of the most respected animation festivals in the world. It was established in 1985, as a project commemorating the 40th anniversary of the atomic bombing.
We are happy that the films distributed by Bonobostudio - Father by Ivan Bogdanov and Nightingales in December by Theodore Ushev - will be screened in the Hiroshima’s Competition Program! Main program attracts about 2,000 entries and more than 34,000 people participate during the five days of the festival. The competition is fierce and we wish we could be there! Especially since Father is the only (partly) Croatian film screened there this year!
14th edition of Hiroshima International Animation Festival 2012 will be held August 23rd - 27th, 2012.
