Dove sei, amor mio is the Best Animated Film for Adults at Anifest Rozafa and... more
When things are good in January, it will be good all year round! And this one started really really well for Alexander Stewart, whose film Here There screens at two truly great festivals – and almost at the same time!
Slamdance was started by alternative filmmakers in 1995 as an opposition to Sundance. They take place at the same time in the same city, Park City, with Slamdance being experimental little brother of Redford’s indie festival. Stewart’s abstract diary miniature screens in the animated film program on January 25 and 28. With author in attendance!
Straight after its US premiere – on January 29 and 30 – Here There will be presented in the short program Couleur Locale at IFFR. And this is what to expect from the program, if you happen to catch the screening: Here, there and an escape from both. Five short films reflect on the distance between home and elsewhere and search for a language to bring the spaces and memories together.
Slamdance program is available here and IFFR on this link. Hope to see you in the cinema!
