Eva Cvijanović’s Hedgehog’s Home won the Best Children’s Film Prize at the Festival du nouveau cinéma in Montreal.

The film about Hedgehog’s forest adventures won its 20th award: the Best Children’s Film Prize at the 46th Festival du nouveau cinéma in Montreal (October 4 – 15). We are very happy that Hedgy won the Little Wolf (P'tit loup) for best film, and so now we are expecting prizes from other members of Hedgy’s posse as well: Fox, Bear, and Boar!

The film is an adaptation of Branko Ćopić’s tale, and it’s produced in both Canada and Croatia. One actor voices all of the characters so the film features narrators in three different languages: in Croatian it’s the famous actor Rade Šerbedžija, in English Kenneth Welsh (Twin Peaks), and in French actress France Castel. If you are in Zagreb these days you can see Hedgehog’s Home in the Theatre Gavella – where our esteemed actor Rade Šerbedžija (and others) will be performing in one very informal evening setting.
