Fantoche International Animation Festival, Switzerland’s most prestigious animated film festival and one of the leading events for the medium in the world, takes place from 2 to 9 September in the Swiss town of Baden.

Four films from Bonobostudio distribution roster will be screened in its programs, with one of them, Thanks, You Too by Marion Täschler, having its world premiere at the festival:

Thanks, You Too by Marion Täschler is a Virage Film production with a story about two strange birds, an owl and the oystercatcher, having a long dinner filled with awkward moments and unbearable silence.

Dollhouse Elephant by Jenny Jokela is a Böhle Studios production and winner of Annecy 2025 SACEM Award for Best Original Soundtrack (composed by Sebastian Hilli). The film is a dark comedic societal commentary following the lives of a group of neighbours sharing a building.

Caries by Aline Höchli is a KOLOSS and Holaus Animation production that premiered at Sundance Film Festival with Special Mention from Athens International Film and Video Festival. The film is a portrait of a shaman eager to create a monumental work of art, who remains blissfully unaware that she is painting her murals inside the mouth of a vain weather presenter.

Fačuk by Maida Srabović is a TETRABOT, URGH!, Octopics and RTV Slovenija production, screening at Fantoche IAF after competing at this year's Animafest Zagreb and Annecy. The film was inspired by the artworks of Mijo Kovačić, a Croatian painter and Naïve artist, and takes place in a God-fearing village where giving birth to a so-called fačuk (an illegitimate child) is a mortal sin.

We are very much looking forward to this one!
