Produced by TETRABOT, URGH!, Octopics, and RTV Slovenija, and inspired by the works of Croatian painter and Naïve artist Mijo Kovačić, Fačuk is set in a God-fearing village between two rivers, where giving birth to a so-called fačuk (an illegitimate child) was considered a mortal sin.
The Oktavijan award, established in 1992, was named after Oktavijan Miletić, the first Croatian filmmaker to work systematically in cinema and regarded as the founder of Croatian and Yugoslav cinematography.
Congratulations to Maida Srabović and the entire film team, as well as all other award winners!
