Film Simulacra by Ivana Bošnjak and Thomas Johnson won two awards at the 4th International Brazil Stop Motion Festival, which took place November 25 – 29 in the city of Recife. Simulacra is The Best Stop Motion up to 10 Minutes and it also won an award for Best Photography thanks to our talented cinematographer Ivan Slipčević.

Two awards went to one of the most screened films of the last year, Argentinean stop animation Padre (r. Santiago Bou Grasso), awarded for The Best Stop Motion More than 10 Minutes, and we are happy that one award went to the Slovenian children’s film Koyaa – Flower by Kolja Saksida.

Since its premiere in April Simulacra was selected for competition programs of 31 festival, and it won eight awards. Next stop is Animateka festival, where you’ll be able to see most of Bonobostudio new production and distribution. See you in Ljubljana December 8 – 14!
