Our films will take part at the animation festival which unites the best of (European) animated film 3 – 9 of December in Ljubljana.

Most Croats will no matter what spend their winter holidays skiing in the Alps. We will spend December in the neighborhood as well. We won’t be skiing though, but we will take part at the International Festival of Animated Film Animateka which will for the 9th time unite Central and Eastern European animators during one merry week. Or let us say two weeks: 3 9 of December Animateka lives in Ljubljana, and 10 16 in Maribor. This means only one thing: twice as much audience! And that will make our animators who are screening their films in the Competition Program – very happy.

43 films will be screened in the Competition Program; 6 of them are Croatian, and out of that 3 works are made in Bonobostudio: In the Beginning of Time by Božidar Trkulja, Father by Ivan Bogdanov and the group of authors, and Darko Vidačković’s Pinball.

Along with the competition of the best Central and Eastern European animation, Animateka also presents the Best of the World programme, and Theodore Ushev's Nightingales in December will be a part of it!

We wish good luck to other Croatian authors – Marko Tadić, Goran Stojnić and Marko Meštrović, and hope we’ll meet all together in Ljubljana to see great new and old animated films. Animateka is not to be missed by serious animation fans!
