Awards in Sofia and Bilbao

Travelling country 09 small
Travelling Country and Nighthawk awarded at festivals in Bugaria and Spain.

Past week has been very good for our films! We won two awards in the same time but in different places. Sofia International Film Festival (March 9 – 19) is a great (inter)national festival which presented this year a total of 170 films from 55 countries. Our film Travelling Country – directed by Vessela Dantcheva and Ivan Bogdanov, and made in co-production with their Bulgarian studio Compote Collective – was featured in the National Short Film Programe, where it won the Jameson Special Mention Award.

Špela Čadež’s Nighthawk was presented at the same time in Spain, at Animakom Festival (March 15 – 19). This Slovenian-Croatian co-production seems like a winning combination: Nighthawk won a Jury Special Mention in Bilbao – its eighth international award!
