Animated film Hedgehog's Home

Test daytime
We are ready to roll and start shooting in Zagreb!

This is one of the most popular children's stories in this part of the world. We all know it by heart, and especially the first lyrics: Through old tangled paths, to the forest edge / Proudly wanders mighty Hedgehog Hedge! The brave and modest Hedgehog, who taught numerous generations in Yugoslavia that there's no place like home, will share his values in the animated film for children and adults produced with the Canadian National Film Board. The most important phase of production, the process of animation and shooting, starts these days in Zagreb, and will continue till April 2016.

The director and screenwriter of Hedgehog’s Home is a Croatian-Canadian director Eva Cvijanović, an animator with a degree from Concordia University, where she was awarded prestigious award during her studies – Zlatko Grgić and Norman McLaren awards. In 2014 her film Seasick was screened in the Competition Program at Animafest Zagreb.

Film’s narrator is Rade Šerbedžija, music will be composed by Darko Rundek, and Tim Allen is the puppet and animation advisor to our animators and puppet-masters – authors of Simulacra – Ivana Bošnjak and Thomas Johnson. Allen worked on the famous puppet films like Corpse Bride and Frankenweenie by Tim Burton and Fantastic Mr. Fox by Wes Anderson.

You can follow the film production here on our website in the next ten months!
