Two weeks of animation in Zagreb and Annecy coming up. We are ready, how about you?

Animafest Zagreb starts this Tuesday (June 9 – 14), and we will traditionally spend the entire week in the cinema. Here is what we will definitely not miss.

Short Film Competition features two films that we are distributing and promoting: Levitation by Marko Meštrović (Program 4, Wednesday 1 PM + Friday 8 PM) and Sonámbulo by Theodore Ushev (Program 3, Thursday 8 PM + Sunday 1 PM, Cinema Europa).

Levitation will be screened in the Croatian Competition too (Program 1, Saturday 3 30 PM), as well as Conversation by Ana Horvat, Luma film production (Program 2, Sunday 3 30 PM, Cinema Europa).

Commissioned film directed by Petra Zlonoga, made for Coast Day, Good Climate For Change, will be screened in the Commission Competition on Thursday at Tuškanac Cinema (10 PM) and Friday at Cineplexx (8 PM).

At the Annecy International Animated Film Festival (June 15 – 20) we are happy to be able to present Sonámbulo by Theodore Ushev, competing in the Short Competition Program. Competition no. 3 (same as Animafest!) is scheduled at Wednesday, June 17 at 2 and 6 PM at Bonlieu, and 4 and 8 30 PM at Pathé, and after that every day in different combinations.

Sonámbulo will be screened in the program with a Croatian-Danish-Estonian film Elu Herman H. Rottiga by Chintis Lundgren, and we will also support Woolf Games by Jelena Oroz, which has been selected in the Student Competition.

That is not all! Producer Vanja Andrijević will participate on Thursday, June 18 at 4 PM in the panel discussion at MIFA (L’Impérial Palace, Ravel A&B) dedicated to talent development in animated film, along with Timothy Guy Leborgne, the director of the educational platform The Animation Workshop in Denmark and Arnaud Demuynck, the producer at Les Films du Nord. The conversation will be moderated by Laurent Crouzeix, director of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
