We have just said farewell to another Animateka (December 3 – 9), a fantastic festival which manages to introduce more and more interesting content each year for both professionals and regular audience. We have been following Animateka since the beginning and we have also been returning from Ljubljana with few awards over the years. In 2018, we are happy to say that our film Two For Two (prod. Bonobostudio) by Jelena Oroz, won a Special Mention from the juror Špela Čadež. We don’t have to tell you how happy we are to be in this fantastic list!
Igor Grubić’s film How Steel Was Tempered (prod. Kreativni sindikat) won a Special Mention at the Anilogue International Animation Festival (Nov 28 – Dec 2), which took place in Hungary’s capital for the 16th time. Grubić’s film recently won the ASIFA Croatia award for the Best Croatian Animated Film in 2018.
At the same time, but different place, Mexico City, Contemporary Animation Festival Animasivo (Nov 28 – Dec 2) took place. Miloš Tomić’s film Musical Traumas (prod. Dribbling Pictures) won the Honorable Mention in the animated documentary film competition for its original representation of music.
