The most important world festival of animation, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, this year celebrates its 60th anniversary edition, while the festival will also include the screening of award-wining film directed by Marko Dješka.

Marko Dješka’s All Those Sensations in My Belly will screen in competition of the prestigious Annecy IAFF, this year held June 14th – 19th. At the same time, the festival’s film market, MIFA, is scheduled to run June 15th – 18th, 2021. Organizers have announced that both events will be adapted to epidemiological measures and it is expected that both the festival and the market will take place in hybrid format. Despite the pandemic, Annecy IAFF has received an impressive number of film submissions this year, in total 2850 films from 95 countries.

All Those Sensations in My Belly is an Adriatic Animation production, co-produced by BAP animation studio from Portugal. The film traces Matia’s transition from male to female gender, as she struggles to find a meaningful connection with a heterosexual man. The film has screened at a series of festivals, winning the award for best film in the Balkan Competition at Anibar International Animation Festival and a special mention in the Croatian Film Competition at Animafest 2020.
