Special Mention for Flower of Battle
Flower of Battle by Simon Bogojević Narath received a special mention at Animateka.
This year's edition of International Animation Film Festival Animateka was held in Ljubljana from December 5th until 11th. Grand Prix went to The Last Bus by Martin Snopek and Ivana Laučikova, and each jury member (Max Andersson, Andy Glynne, Marcel Jean, Vuk Jevremović, Carolina Lopez Caballero) also awarded a prize to a film of their choice.
The special mention for Flower of Battle was given by Vuk Jevremović with explanation that "despite its violent imagery, this film has strong classical references and literary allusions which seep through into the film to create a tapestry of thoughts and feeling, often contradictory but never dull."
