As though in a dynamic pinball game, the trajectory of the ball after launching is undetermined. The player’s actions direct the ball, make sense of its movements, leave their trace, but not in the long run.
Pinball is a non-narrative animated film made by line drawing technique, either on paper or by lights in the air. Animated series of almost unrecognisable images of nature appear in the background.
Basic qualities of the film are play, dynamics, individual and common rhythms. Music and animation, with their meeting and separation points, complement and contradict each other, finding a common language which will create a free-flowing subconscious dialogue between music and image.
The film will be made using mixed techniques - drawing on paper and by LED lights in long exposition, computer manipulation, photography, 2D animation and compositing.
